What We Do

How You Can Help

We have many cats that are living out their lives at the sanctuary.  You can sponsor one with a donation that goes toward the care and feeding of these special animals.

Cinder (F) - She has cerebellar hypoplasia, which makes controlling her back legs difficult. She could never hunt mice or escape from predators, but at the sanctuary, she thrives and loves to cuddle for hours. She also insists on being in our laps when we type on a computer. Tom (m) - He was a very shy, semi-feral cat when he came to us. He is now socialized, loves everybody, and very well adjusted. Tom and 4 other special friends have an incurable virus, but they are living happy and healthy cat lives free of the stress that can exacerbate the illness. Mini-me (m) - Like many white-on-white cats, he was born deaf. Mini was found as a kitten on the side of a road in the rain, cold and hungry. He compensates for his lack of hearing by touching things. His voice is strange because he can't hear himself and sometimes he cries out for no apparent reason. When he does, his best friend Maggie comes to comfort him.

TAX DEDUCTIBLE

Sunshine's Friends Cat Rescue and Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt animal welfare organization recognized by the IRS, so your donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Please support our free-range sanctuary for cats for one reason or another are not adoptable but also are socialized to the point where they are not able to live in the wild. Use the Donation button below to donate what you see fit. Or, use our Online Donation form and Select the Sponsor a Cat Campaign to make your gift specifically to our Sponsorship program.

Hi - Has Blythe been adopted already? If not, I would very much like to sponsor her. She spent a couple of months with us, but my older cat was very stressed and intimidated by her. Blythe is a sweet little girl and I really want to take care of her. How much does it take to sponsor a cat each month? Is there a form to fill out?

Thanks,
Sophia

Cat Of the Month: Percy

Percy Bysshe tmb

O, world! O, LIFE!

The winged words on which my soul would pierce

Into the height of Love's rare Universe,
I pant, I sink, I tremble... O -- Hi THERE, folks!

It's me! Percy (Bysshe)!  Ya caught me waxing poetic!

Dog Of the Month: Oboe

Oboe with girl cropped tmb

Oboe is a very loving and sweet dog and would be best suited for someone who has a yard or an active adopter who could take him on runs or play throw-and-retrieve games. He also loves water. He will step right into the bathtub and wait for you to give him a shower.

Senior Of the Month: Pebbles

pebbles tmb

Meet our Super Sweet Senior of the Week.

Pebbles is 12 years young and would love to be someones, special girl. She will be happiest as an only cat child but is great with human children. Pebbles is in good health and always uses her litter pan.

We were blessed to have Bev take such good care of Amore whom we found in a field 3 month ago alone and scared. Today we are so happy to welcome our newest addition to the family
